health.enabled is pleased to announce that we have officially joined the Global Initiative on Digital Health (GIDH), a World Health Organization–managed network focused on strengthening alignment and collaboration across the global digital health ecosystem.

GIDH’s mission is to support countries and partners by providing the tools, building blocks, and platforms needed for sustainable, standards-based digital health system transformation. This mission closely aligns with health.enabled’s work to advance ethical, equitable, and people-centred approaches to digital health, with a strong emphasis on gender-intentional design, evidence-informed decision-making, and country-led implementation.

health.enabled advances global digital health alignment through initiatives such as the Global Digital Health Monitor. The Global Digital Health Monitor is an interactive web-based resource that tracks, monitors, and assesses the enabling environment and maturity of digital technology for health across countries, supporting accountability, learning, and evidence-informed decision-making. Through this work, health.enabled contributes to global efforts to strengthen transparency, comparability, and learning across national digital health ecosystems.

To join GIDH, health.enabled was required to demonstrate meaningful contributions to the advancement of public health and to GIDH’s objectives. Our membership reflects our work across digital health strategy and governance, evaluation and measurement of digital health, AI, and data ecosystems, and gender-intentional digital health approaches that prioritize safety, privacy, and inclusion. It also reflects our role in supporting aligned engagement between the public and private sectors to ensure digital innovation responds to real public health needs.

As part of the GIDH network, health.enabled looks forward to continued collaboration with countries, WHO, and partners to advance coordinated, standards-based, and equity-driven digital health transformation.
